Lex was asked to make a cake in the shape of a BlackBerry for someone at work who was celebrating 4 years with the company. This is a comparison shot to the real deal.

Diva Mode!
We were asked to make a “girly” themed birthday cake with a handbag & shoes. These cakes are always so much fun because we get to tap into our “diva” mode!
This was a 2 tiered marble cake, accented with lipstick, nailpolish, a black handbag & gumpaste shoes.
Wedding Cake
Carolyn made this beautiful wedding cake for a relative. They wanted a 2 tiered cake frosted with buttercream, topped with roses.
Beautiful!

Rock Climbing!
Alexis was asked to make a large cupcake-cake for a special little girls’ 7th birthday. The party was held at a local indoor rock climbing facility called Ground Zero so of course the theme of the cake had to match!
The cake was a marble fudge cake with buttercream frosting.
Baby Shower
Carolyn was asked to make a cake for a baby shower for one of her friends. The baby has already arrived so the message on the cake was one to welcome him to the world.
It was a white cake frosted with real buttercream (so delicious!!).

P-p-p-poker cake
Poker is a favorite past time of our brother in law so we decided to make a poker cake for his 19th birthday.
He had no idea that we were doing a custom cake for him. In fact, he just wanted “a cake with chocolate chips.” We couldn’t just leave it at that of course, so we definitely whipped something more fun together. He was so surprised and the words, “that is a sexy cake,” may have been said.
Homemade ice cream cake!!
For Carolyn’s husband’s birthday party she decided to go a new route and made a homemade ice cream cake! So many people thought it was a Dairy Queen cake – it was that similar!
Instead of the Oreo base, she used a brownie topped with Skor bar.
This was definitely a hit and sure to be a repeat at many birthdays to come!
There’s an app for that…
At one of the latest birthdays a few of the boys had the age old debate: BlackBerry vs iPhone. Carolyn’s brother has an iPhone and loves it so it was the inspiration for his birthday cake.
The cake was frosted with black buttercream and the apps were made out of gumpaste.
Birthday cake
Carolyn made this birthday cake for her husband. Blue is his favorite color and to spruce things up, edible stars were tossed on top. The kids loved this cake!
Mmm Carrot Cake
Who doesn’t like a yummy carrot cake with rich cream cheese frosting?
This was tastefully decorated with beautiful gumpaste lilies.
